Between early 2019 and late 2023, San Mateo County Superior Court tortured... Nafiz and I by continuing my case over a dozen times. While some were for Covid court shutdowns, most were explained as the prosecution's witness had a vacation or otherwise failed to calendar it. Nafiz and I had- on most occasions- blocked off our calendars for a week, dry cleaned suits, traveled to the area, and showed up. This was at great expense to our time, productivity, and patience, and can only be explained as a tactic to bleed some plaintiffs dry financially, get them fired from their jobs, and grind them down.
